Let Us Help

Do I need a Doctor’s referral?

In Indiana we have direct access. What this means is for up to 42 days from your Initial evaluation you can be seen by a physical therapist without a prescription on file. If you need to continue care after the 42 days, a prescription is required from a physician, nurse practitioner, chiropractor, dentist, or podiatrist.

What does treatment look like?

Treatment for each Individual Is slightly different. Generally, the initial evaluation starts with a discussion of what your concerns and goals are followed by an exam of strength, flexibility, range of motion, and special testing. If your therapist feels an Internal exam will be beneficial, that will be discussed prior to with full consent from the patient. After all the tests and measures, the therapist will discuss her findings and make a plan with the patient going forward.

What types of health insurance do you accept?

The Empowered Pelvis Physical Therapy and Wellness Is out of network with all Insurance providers and payment is due at the time of service. This allows for a more In depth treatment with 1:1 care. However, you are welcome and encouraged to contact your insurance company regarding out of network benefits and authorization prior to starting with your PT. If you would like to submit our treatment for reimbursement from your insurance company toward your out of network benefits, the PT can provide a superbill for you to submit.
